Secondly, did I understand you correctly, that you are using grinding stones on aluminum, if thats what you are trying to polish? Don't the grinding stones load up on you?
They make cartridge rolls that are a 1/4" in diameter, in different grits, that can be used on a die grinder. Also you can use these
www.cratex.com. I don't think Caswell's has that small of cartridge rolls, look in the yellow pages under abrasives and see if someone local has what you need, or Google!
