As for any particular reason? Not really, just trying something different. It does help with it not swinging out, although I had designed it to be two small doors swinging open.

The weight of the door was considered with the purchase of the pistons. I won't have anything in the door other then the insulation, sheeting and a window. Maybe a small door for IR thermo reading. As for getting too hot, they should be okay, as there is air space between the surface and them and they have high impact plastic ends attaching them. But we shall see, won't we? But it should be okay.
