The problem that I started to have this weekend is that my powder will not stick to the parts at all. I thought that maybe it was a ground so I checked it out and the ground is fine. When I step on the pedal the light on the control box comes on like normal. I tried to get a "static discharge" at the ground from the tip of the gun but not dice.
I got out my multimeter and did a voltage check from the ground to the tip electrode while pushing the pedal and I get about 180 volts This seems like way too much for a 110v system. Since I don't know for sure what the output voltage is supposed to be (no good instruction manual) I am not sure if the transformer inside of the unit is a "step down" or a step up" transformer. Does anyone know what the voltage should be reading at the tip? Or have come across this problem before?
Thanks in advance for any help and input.
