I am new here but have used the Plug-n-plate kits with great success on random objects and small firearm parts. Hope I am posting in the correct forum with my question...

I have recently plated a few small firearm parts with the p-n-p nickel and gold kits and it turned out great! But now I am having second thoughts on the gold and was wondering what to do to remove it? The rest of the gun (makarov) is high polished blued and I would like to restore the parts I plated (trigger and safety) to black again. Please let me know how this can be accomplished. I don't have the black chrome p-n-p kit but have thought about using that as a possible solution?
