yeah, we'll see how much money this compressor REALLY ends up costing. we'll either have to upgrade the electrical system to handle 440V or buy a new motor starter that can handle the current draw at 220V. ...IF we've got a breaker that can handle that current.

i'd recommend starting on parts that don't require blasting. new/bare metal, anodized parts, metal that's been protected by paint that you can chemically strip down to fresh metal. you'll be somewhat limited on what you can do at first, and it'll take extra time to prep, but at least you can make a little money to go towards equipment upgrades and you'll be learning all the while.
