i originally planned on just using the High temp coating on the exhaust...and parts close to the motor ..... but the guy who did it ...put it on everything ..... and im glad he was atleast thinking about that! ....the High temp Gloss Black is only 35% gloss .....and the normal Black that they use here is like 80% gloss.... So ..it would have been a pretty noticeable difference.....i did talk to the paint line supervisor again.....and he said that the metal was at 450 degrees ....before they started counting the 20 minutes needed for curing....he thinks the powder is just no good ........and he also said that the company that is stripping the parts this time ....hate me
i guess they are having a hell of a time getting the high temp coating off !!! So does any one know why the paint would adhear to some parts.....and not others? .....i was also wondering.....the first time they were powder coated....the guy completely covered all the parts.....is that neccessary? like the air cleaner cover....only needs to be black on the outside ....no one will ever see the inside? ....i think we are going to try to find some high temp...from a different company ......i wish i would have read the forum here before i ordered.....i looks like a lot of people have been having problems with the High temp powder from caswell ?
