Does anyone know how to work this unit or where to get one that is easy to operate??
Short of just using a thermostat type control this type of pid is pretty basic. You don't need to "program" it. If you want you can adjust the pid parameters, but you might be better off just running auto tuning once you get it wired up and ready to go. If you don't have a manual request one and if possible, as already mentioned, post the url here and someone can give you specific steps to run auto tuning.

The wiring is very simple.

Terminals 1 & 2 are the input power. It can accept either 120vac or 240vac. Input terminals 1 & 2 are not polarity sensitive.

The K thermocoupler gets connected to terminals 9 & 10. They are polarity sensitive so watch your connections.

If you are using an ssr it gets connected to terminals 6 & 7 and is also polarity sensitive. You need an ssr that accepts an 8 volt dc input signal. If you are using a contactor you need to change pid parameter 'outy' to '1' and use relay contacts J2 to control the contactor.

Then post more specific questions and someone will surely be able to answer them.
