I'm going to do nickel plating of mostly brass, but occasionally some stainless steel.

As far as a "Stainless Steel Activator," I need a little clarification. Is this Product (SSAC2G - Stainless Steel Activator - 1 Gal) simply THIS Product (PNPSSACT - Stainless Steel Activator - 8 oz) with the muriatic acid already added?

Can Pickle #4 be used as my stainless steel activator prior to Nickel Plating onto SS?


Also, if the Brass I use is clean and virginal, how likely am I to need to use "Pickle #4 for ANY other reason?"
