Default mother's mag polish ruins my shine

I have buffed a sculpture piece up to a gorgeous shine. It's made from 1100 aluminum .050 sheet. I finished it out with red rouge and it will put your eyes out with that nice, almost blue-white, color. One of the great things about pure aluminum (1100) is the color. It's even brighter than stainless.

The problem is, with sculpture, you really should use something that has a little wax in it to slow down oxidation. Buyers of sculpture don't want to have to polish it all the time. Every liquid polish I've tried, including Mother's, has dulled the finish, and has added a slight yellowish color to that bright white shine.

I'm thinking perhaps red rouge is a finer grit than Mother's. Any ideas?
