Thumbs up Re: Chrome plated bronze restoration

Dave,
First, what is your base metal? Two, chrome finish needs nickel under plate then chrome. The parts you have are interesting to plate but not impossible. I am from Tucson,Az and there are two plating shops here.
When you plate your parts you must think its being plated as a wheel which requires a special rack for plating coverage in the inside diameter.

I've got four opening ports, an outhaul, and a gooseneck fitting from my 1963 Islander sailboat that need rechroming. The parts are plated bronze and the chrome is in bad shape. I've e-mailed around to some of the platers I could find online but haven't heard anything back. I'd prefer to find someone local to deal with, does anyone know a plater in north-central Florida or south Georgia that does replating?

If I can't find a shop, is this something I can do myself? I looked at the Caswell stripping and plating kits, does anyone have any experience using them on bronze?

Here is a picture. The four ports are all similar to the one shown.
