    Default Anodizing Location question

Hello, I am looking to take up anodizing as a new hobby. I have a 25' x 25' garage out behind my house were I store my quads, motorcycles, ect. I plan on buying the Deluxe LCD Anodizing Kit to fool around with paintball guns and parts. My question is if I set up shop anodizing in their will it corrode everything else I have stored in their? I would love to build my setup in my garage, but if it means risking everything else I have stored in their I may need to reconsider my location. Any light you experienced guys can shed on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Wherever you locate your setup, you will have to control the fumes coming off the acid tank. Most people put that tank in a plywood box with a fan blowing air into it and an exhaust vent to outside the building. It could be done with a large hood directly above the surface sucking the fumes off, but this requires you to move a much larger volume of air.
Assuming this building is not heated or air conditioned, a much bigger problem will be controlling the temps in the various tanks. I don't know your location, but I know my garage gets below freezing in the winter and over 100 deg in summer. The acid must be maintained at 70 deg F +/- a couple degrees.

My set up is in a 12x24 tin building with other equipment and parts. I have not had any problems with corrosion on anything else in the room or the building itself. As coop mentioned, ambient temps cause the most concern. The heat especially here in Texas.

i'm not an ano guy, but i read the posts anyway... heating the tanks would be easy enough probably, but how do you cool them? is that what the chillers i've seen mentioned are for?

Yes, Titanium core chillers (used for salt water fish tanks) are the best way to cool the ano bath. A cheaper alternative is to blow chilled air from a window AC unit into an enclosed box housing the ano tank.
    I do things.
