    I haven't seen a mesh size on the bags I get. I'll see if I can find out.

    Use baking soda for a nice powder smooth finish. I get my glass beads at HF too but never noticed a size. They're dang tiny, I can tell ya. Invisible on the floor and slick as glass.

    Well, I just ran out to the Barn to look. It has #8 Glass Beads printed on the box.

    Absolutely! It's been a common media for years. Made even more acceptable recently by the "carbon footprint" and "save the Earth" folks.

    I was looking at mesh sizes and the #8 for the HF glass beads can't be right. Or it's a different standard. #8 shows a mesh size of .0937". I know they're smaller than that at least from my memory. I'll try to remember and measure a few "grains" tomorrow.

    Maybe .00937". More than likely .0937mm which is .0036" and sounds about right for what I have.
