type ll standard testing for anodizing is there labs for this?

We are new to anodizing. We have been in the aircraft industry since 1965, are company is ACS PRODUCTS CO. Right now we are only anodizing are parts, and its seems to be working out well. Are only problem is before we can go into mass quanities, of even are parts we must have documentation of are testing process. we are familier with the testing standards but are not equiped to do them. We fall under a type ll standard and ultimatly would like to find a lab that would do the test and send us certs back on the testing. So if anyone can help on this matter that would be great.

I don't have the company name but there was a company in Austin, TX that did destructive and non destructive testing for material grade, coating grade or thickness for certifications. The shop I worked at did aviation work and used them for certs.

hey thanks ere acually going to be using them now ther a very small company just what we were looking for. how about chemical retailers. who do you purchase your chemicals from how do i come up with de smut and stripper and alk etch and other chemicals.

I get my chemicals from Caswell. The only one I get elsewhere is sodium hydroxide to strip or etch and I can get it local.

A company that that is A2LA acredited is ACT labs. They were bought out in the last few years by Bodycote testing. Another company that might be worth a look is Herron (Herrin) Testing or Tensile Testing here in Ohio. All of these companies are A2LA accredited and will make your quality folks and registrar's happy.
