![]() process was: polish plate of he30, clean with brake cleaner then acetone, then panelwipe. ano to 0.75 as per 720 rule. rinse etc, dye navy blue. ( i ran out of black) mask off outline , bleach, acid rinse, neutralize, final rinse. dye green, mask with water based latex (cannot buy rubber cement in the UK) bleach, acid etc. dye red, latex bleach etc (as above) dye gold latex again etc. then violet 3d. up until the last dye, the dye went on evenly and deeply with no patches. but this time, as you can see, dye didnt take around the edges and finished upreally patchy. after removing the masking agents, the red dye had also been leached by the latex (none of the other colours were affected as much ), so i guess its not the best masking media. but what i did notice is that the navy blue lines are raised from the surface suggesting that the ano layer has been removed by too many times bleaching and acid washing. does a quick dip in 1:4 acid cause the ano layer to dissolve ? it would explain what has gone on with the last dying. any advice welcomed. Thanks
