The only way to know for sure is by titration. Apparatus and chemicals cost me about $300.
You shouldn't need to check if you mixed it 1:3 battery acid/distilled water in the first place. Why do you need to check?

Ok, there is a little confusion on my part and i think i am a little low on my acid. The dvd that caswell says 3 gal of distilled water and 2 qts of acid. Thats not a 1:3 ratio. I looked in the Caswell manual and it says 1:3.
So that means i am about 2 1/3 gallons short in my tank. Could be why i have not been getting constant results. It has still been anodizing but it has not been so easy. Ok i guess i will add more acid to my tank tomorrow.
Thanks for the help.

no offense but caswell manual sucks dude.

Just do it as it says in the manual. The dvd is incorrect.
