Thread: Lead Sheet for Cathode. Thickness Matter?

  1. #1

Default Lead Sheet for Cathode. Thickness Matter?

Getting set up for my first run. Been lurking a lot and reading practically the entire forum! Thanks for all the help so far from everyone

One question - I have the chance to pick up a 3/32 lead sheet 34 x 48" for $90. Would this be too thin for a cathode?

3/32 is more than enough... the lead is not affected by the acid and will last forever.
    I do things.

Thankyou I figured it was too good a deal to pass up but wanted to make sure I wasn't hosing myself in any way.

Now to start plumbing the agitation system while I wait for the auction for my Little Giant pump to end. Back to the hardware store I go!

Off topic abit but is the seller trader drew? If so I'd avoid it all cost, shipped me a new in cox pump that had a broken impeller, damaged housing and cracked impeller shaft.

No that's not his ebay name. Thanks for the warning though.

Schedule 40 PVC is fine for the anno tank, right?

    Many thanks guys.

Got the pipe and the Rubbermaid. Won the auction for the pump for $30! For that price even if it works for a little while I'm happy.

Sadly the source I had for my lead sheet fell through. I found some on rotometals - would 1/64th be too thin?

    Many thanks again.
