    Default chrome looking parts

I got some planet eclipse parts that look like chrome but aren't. I was told by planet eclipse that they don't chrome only polish anodize.

Well, I caswell chrome stripped the part. Nothing happened.

I put in anodize stripper. Still no bubbles or anything. (this tells me it isn't pure aluminum)

Anybody ever come across anything with planet eclipse "chrome" like pieces??

They are probably nickel and not chrome.

I have some older eclipse stuff, and it is definitely plated. I spoke with Jack Wood, and he said under the plating it is definitely 6061 Al.

Well I have the nickel remover and nothing happens. I think it must be clear anodize

I don't know what to tell you then. I have this part, and a trigger frame in the same finish. They are definitely plated and not anodized. My guess is that you are incorrectly trying to strip using the chrome and or nickel stripper. If it was clear anodize it would have worked when you used the anodize stripper. These are the same parts I spoke with Jack Wood about. He said they were plated 6061-T6 Aluminum.

It ended up being just polished aluminum with a clear.
