Default Tin and Anodizing

Hello,

I was speaking to a fellow about anodizing and he asked if I used tin plate to color my pieces. HUH? was my reaction. I use dies. Word is if you use tin you can achive champane, bronze copper and black. He was not sure of the process if you plate or what kind of bath. Has anyone heard of such. Interested to know.

Default Re: Tin and Anodizing

You can use something like our oxidizing solutions - see http://www.caswellplating.com/metal.htm - on a variety of metals.

So, you could tin, nickel, copper plate something, then oxidize them to get a certain look.
