i had a bunch of information, but none of it was really important in that i figured out why some of it was occuring.

my problem before was i didn't know how much current or voltage was necessary for a certain amount of square footage. i have since figured out the mathematical problems, in that using 4.5 amps a sq. foot will always need at most 11.5 volts (being the PAR), and the current and resistance varies depending on the surface area of the part.

i've narrowed my problem down to the resistance/CV problem with the power supplies.
