Thread: Splash anodizing

    Default Splash anodizing

I have a small sample of anodized aluminum extruded profile, 40 mm wide, used for flooring, with the visible upper convex surface decorated with mixed colours and pattern, wheras the lower surface is matt anodized. What I would like to know is how that special anodized finish is obtained. Any advise highly appreciated. You can see the photos of the sample at:

    Thanks in advance...

that actually referred to as acid wash anodizing. ive never tried for that particular pattern, but my educated guess would be to thicken the darker color and then sponge it on over a lighter color. splash anodizing is simply splashing masking fluid over the part
