Default Degreaser - Simple Green?

I read somewhere that simple green was a good degreaser for anodising. I was going to buy 10 litres of the Crystal version - any thoughts?

Thanks,

J

I don't know about the Crystal type, but Simple Green will work as a preliminary degreaser, but I've found that it still seems to leave something behind on the surface of the aluminum that screws up anodization to some extent. This has occurred even after it passes the water-sheeting test. I think it may be the surfacant they add to it, but I'm not sure. What I do is the heavy degreasing with the Simple Green to remove any polishing compound, etc., then use a little Caswell's SP degreaser as a final degreaser.
