Haven't heard much about the Sput welder lately. I am assuming "no news is good news" since there are no problems posted in the forum. Are you all pleased with it? Pros/Cons? Is Caswell stocking them now? I have an upcoming ano job that will probably help me justify the cost so hopefully I'll be ordering soon.

It's appropriate that the Sputwelder users answer this one, not me.

Yes, Caswell does stock them.

Default sorry for the hijack but...

...I was going to order the type 6 monday. I need to get it here asap (so will probably be paying for DHL or something) so I need to know if caswell has them in stock - anyone know?

Silly question I know but now that I'm anodising I've just noticed that some parts don't have holes so there is no way to rack them without this

Anyways - any comments on the type 6 for some basic anodising? I'll post a picture of my finished product as soon as I finish one - don't worry it won't be long now!

Kickn,
You are going to need a 220VAC power cube with a UK plug, right? Be sure to specify that when you order it.

No, he doesn't. But we could put one into his next shipment. The pricing will be different, because of shipping, brokerage and import duties.

Give Speed Demon a call and get a price, please.

Boy I need more sleep - i read that completely wrong LOL

Anyways - ordered my Type 6 but tis coming 110v instead of 220v.

Fibregeek: Do you know what the wattage draw of this unit is so that I can try to find a cheap transformer from somewhere? Or if it uses a power block can you let me know what the output of that block needs to be and maybe I can find a new one over here?

Kickn,
The Type 6 uses a 12VDC 300mA power cube, so the 240VAC to 120VAC converter that you need would be a little one, 4 Watts. A larger one won't hurt anything.

What does the power cube output? I might be better just using a 240v power cube if the draw is so low.

Thanks,
