Okay...no so amazing but definately one of the handiest bits of kit I've thrown together in a few minutes.
All thats needed is a LED, battery and some metal prongs (in this case a couple aluminium rivets). Its a great way to check if you've anodised something especially when like us we do a lot of clear. Anyways - just thought I would share |

There isn't anything to it - just completes a circuit.
Just grab a battery - resistor - LED - break the circuit with some pins of some sort - then wire the second pin back to the battery. We put a little switch to turn it off when needed but its not really. The scary thing is how conductive your hands are when you cross the pins - watch out for grounding those big PSU's |

This just seems faster. Instead of spending time reading a display all you have to do is touch an item. Light on, bad, light off, good.
