You do not want Grade 5 or 6 titanium, its alloyed with alot of other alloys, making it great for strength but not for plating.

I have some grade 2 1/8" rod I can sell, I bought a big surplus of it. I have about 20 3ft rods available.

How is it for springyness (if that is a word)? I want to make some smaller - 4 inch folded over- clips like in post # 4 of this thread.

And how much per rod? would probably only need two or three to try.

They are very good, They are however, twice the diameter of his. They will give a strong hold, but if your doing small parts thick wire isnt going to help you. I can do $2.50 a foot plus shipping, and can cut it shorter for easier shipping.

An 1/8" rod isnt going to work if your trying to rack something by a hole under 1/2" unless the part has a 4-40 screw hole, then you can thread these into the part. Of course the possibilies are endless.

That will work, they are about 1.5x1.25x.5 and a B%@#H to figure surface area on - semi rectagular with a 5/8" hole in them so hopefully this will work..........

Should work very good as long as you get a tight bend on them.

As for bending the titanium rod. Is it better to do it cold or should they be heated up. Or does it matter to make them spring back / out as much as possible?

thanks again
Ron

I just made some for myself. I have this fancy wire bender, so I can make some accurate bends. If I remember to, I will post some pictures up tomorrow.
