it wouldnt be ok to leave them in the acid especially for 5 h for the power to come on and lets say another hour for the ano to finish. You will badly pit your parts.
Ive never had such a problem but I would take the parts out, rince them and continue the run when the power gets back on. |

I've been wondering that myself - we tend to have power problems as well.
I don't think I'd let it go for more than 3 or 4 minutes - I'd rinse it, hang it in RO water, get the generator going, and resume the run - that's just opinion though, fortunately I haven't had any runs get interrupted (not by power outage anyway). |

Thanks Guys. That was what I was afraid of... not OK to leave them in very long.
The hard part is that a lot of the time I put parts in to run and then I go outside to work for an hour or so while they do their thing, so Im likely to not even know the power is out until I go back to the shop. I suppose I'll have to rig up a big loud battery powered siren to alert me when the grid goes down. Unless it's on the weekend, then my wife can perform that function for me. Thanks, Steve |
