Default Paintball guns - Got a rare one for you

Hey guys, new to the forums, and had some questions for those that have done paintball guns.

I have an X-mag, has anyone ever done anodize work on one of those yet?

I am considerring having some color added to my setup, and I have concerns as far as prep for the gun, what can and can not be anodized on it, etc. Will anodizing the grip frame cause the circuit board to not be grounded, things like that.

I thought about trying to anodizing it myself, but after seeing the work involved, I think I will hold off and anodize some things a little less important to me than my X-mag

Any suggestions? Anybody familiar with acid wash anodizing? Most of what i have seen on the boards are solid colors.

Thanks

Styg

I have never ano'd an X-mag. Is the board grounded to the grifprame? That's unusual. If it needs a connection, you could always mask an area, or remove the ano afterwards.
How is the feedneck mounted? If it's pressed in, you'll need to provide a connection there as well, or it won't ano.
No, I would do quite a few test pieces before jumping on that one.

Ive done an X-Mag before. The grip frame can be anodized. The problem is this with x-mags there is a locktited stainless steel pin (where it makes contact with the battery) and inside the body there is a torque pressed stainless steel part.
Appart from taking the extra precautions in account, they turn out nicely!
