I bought a new tank and had two questions. 1- Would it be okay to use the electrolyte from my old tank in the new? I don't see why it wouldn't be. 2- Could I put the electrolyte in the new tank fill it with more water and then add the remaining acid? I know you always add acid but it seems like it would be okay because I would be diluting the electrolyte first before adding the remaining acid

1- I would, unless it's contaminated.
2- What destroyer said. I add water to my ano tank to replace evaporation. The reason you don't add water to acid is because it generates a lot of heat very quickly; once it's diluted to the LCD ratio it's unlikely to cause any problems. Wear protective clothing including gloves and eye protection, and go slow. |
