Default amps not going up

I racked some new rc parts and went through the process upto anodizing. I turned my ps on and cranked the volts up to 15v slowly, but the amps never went up past 1 amp. they were in for 1 hr. What should i be checking? I used radio shack alum. wire for racking, cleaned all connections from power supply, etched the cathodes...one part started to turn a light brown. I just don't understand. Help please.

You should be calculating the amps with the 720 rule (stickied at the top), and controlling the amps, not the volts.
However, if you insist on running in CV, the amps will adjust themselves to the size of the part. Try measuring the surface area, and calculate what the amps should have been, and compare that with what your actual amps were.

How did you actually make the connection to the workpiece?
