Default Power Supply

OK almost have the larger tank ready. I used the 720 calc to figure what my first batch would be. 135 sq in. .75 I should be at 5.63 amps for 90 mins. My power supply is 3.15 amps. Do I need a larger supply or do I just extend the run times and adjust the amp. accordingly? I would lik,e to keep parts in the ano bath the shortest amount of time.

You could try it at a lower CD and see how it goes, but if it were me, I'd get a larger PS.

Someone here, I forget who or which thread, isn't too keen on Mastech supplies, but I'm really happy with mine. I've got a 10 amp 30 volt one. Caswell has a couple that look like Mastechs from the photos but they're too small to see for sure. If you go to eBay and type 'variable power supply' that narrows it down effectively. Make sure it's constant current, of course. I've tried doing google searches on power supplies, but I haven't run across any gonzo deals. Play with the calculator to see what you might want for amp capability, or go for what your pocketbook can stand. Since you've already got 3 amps, I'd suggest skipping over 5 and go for 10 amps or larger. And I'd suggest at least 24 volts - I think the highest mine has ever gone (except for connection problems) is 16 volts, but it's good to have a little breathing room.

I was looking at the Mastech 30 V 10 Amp but I think I will watch ebay a little.

I also use both 10A/30V, and a 20A/30V Mastech power supplies, and I'm very happy with the life so far.
Picked them both up off ebay for very reasonable prices.
