Very nice. Do you have to anodize less thickness (like you do for gold) to get the shiny shade of copper on the barrel or is that just a lighting effect? Anybody ever try to get a copper color on cast aluminum? I may be experimenting with this in the near future. I need to find some tips to give the best chance of successful cast anodize to match non cast parts.

I believe I went for .75 mils on the copper.
I have done a few Ion gripframes, which are a fairly high quality cast. Once the powde coat is removed, you'll see they are roughly machined in some places, and the casting flash (mold seams) are monster, but with some filing, sandpaper and polishing, they turn out quite well.
There others here with WAY more knowledge of cast.
