I am on my second batch. This is fun. But I thought the voltage (as read on my cc/cv display should increase as time goes on.
My first batch was 41in^2 set to 1.7A for 120min. Voltage started around 16V then fell as time went on. ended around 14.5 or something. Parts turned out great. Second batch : 71 in^2 set to 3A for 120 min. Valtage started at 15.1 Now half way through it is 13.9. Am I thinking backwards? |

How about temperature and agitation?
Yes, with 6xxx alloy, the volts should go up, but remember, the lower the temperature, the higher the volts (and vise-versa). As the temperature rises, the volts will go down. Try to keep the temperature between 68F and 70F, and use good agitation. Are you taking notes? I always chart the progress of each run. Write down your start and end times, along with the calculated amps. Note the temperature and volts at regular intervals: start, 15min, 30min, 45min, etc. It will help you a lot when trying to diagnose problems.
