The only way to make aluminum look like that (aurora style paintball guns) is to chrome plate at extremely high voltages. It is said that many parts are destroyed using the secret process, but I tend to think that is urban legend. Anyway, there is no info on the process, and anybody that does know, is no longer offering it at any price.
