If I were to use permanent rinse tubs what type of filter system would you recommend for the rinse tubs. I would like to get where I dont have to drain and fill them everytime I run a batch. I sure the dye rinse will need changed but what about the rest?

I've heard that guys will run RO water constantly into the final rinse tank. They are also using two tanks... first rinse and second rinse. It seems that you could run the RO water into the final tank, with run off going to the first rinse, then into the drain.

The thing is, filters are not going to remove the drag-off. You'll need to replenish the water to control that.

Personally, I have a 55gal tank with an auto fill float valve from the RO filters, and a large ball valve to fill individual tanks. Takes maybe 5 seconds to fill a 3gal bucket, and I use a seperate rinse bucket for each process.

I like the float idea. If I run a drain is there any enviromental issues? Right now I take small quanities to work and dump it in a large recycling system. I dont want to have to transport too large of containers though.

Well... I always spray/mist the parts into thier original tanks before dunking them, so there is very little drag-off. Since I'm doing small batches, and dispose the rinse water after just one use, there is no concern with dumping down the sanitary sewer.
If you're concerned with contaminant levels of the rinse water, you should inquire what levels are acceptable.
