Default hard anodizing

I know it's not supported, but I want to try a 10/22 cast receiver, and all I expect is black or OD green for color

Any opinions, tips would be appreciated. I read the sticky at the top, I have a over sized chiller and running around 16 gallons total tank size. Pump is 1200 gallons per hour, and I imagine I'm prob getting 800-1000 in just agitation alone so I think I have that covered.

The part to do is small enough I can should have no problem with my power supply, acid ration wil be my biggest pain, I can add enough to make the solution 1:2 no problem, I guess when I go back to 1:3 I could then just correct the mixture and put the saved in some jigs for when I do a solution change

I would like to hear from anyone who has tried this method, I know it's not needed, but I want to see how it works on cast, and also just like to be different I reckon LOL

Never tried it but, the biggest problem will be getting acid temp down to around 32f, and holding it there while you hit it with 18+ amps CD.
At 18 amps CD, it will take 2 hrs to build 3mils with a peak voltage of 45v.
Is your PS able to handle that?

No my PS will not do it at 18, I may be able to at 12..... I also searched and I can't find a power supply that would do it... I'm pretty sure I can deal with the temp... now how to get 18-24 amps... any ideas ?
