Default Dilute dyes?

I love blue but for some reason my 1st attempt dying with blue4A for 20 minutes the part came out almost black! Is it possible to dilute this stuff? Maybe I need to use turquoise?

Control the depth of color with ano thickness, and dye time.
A thinner ano thickness will make a very nice metalic looking color, which is very consistant part to part, but not as strong as a thicker layer.
You can short time the dye at full ano thickness, but it's less consistant part to part, but very strong.

Okay, I think this old horse smells the water. Tell me if I got this right. In theory a 0.5mil thick part won't take as much dye as a 1.0 mil therefore less color depth? In other words color is 'lighter' as ano thickness is less?

The thinner the coating the more controlable the color, however, a layer to thin may not even get dark enough for your liking. Id aim for a 75 mil layer

Tonight I did a small batch aiming for a 0.75 mil layer and used the violet dye and up'ed the dye temp to @100. Color came out wonderful!
