No! Only 3 things can go into the acid tank, aluminum, lead and titanium! If your at the welding supply shop and if your parts are small you can you MIG welding wire the kind I use is a 5xxx series alloy and works real well for my little parts. Another option is go to the local farm supply store and pick up a spool of electric fence wire. I got a spool 1/4mile long of 14gage pretty cheap.

I can't remember for sure but maybe the spool was $25.00 or so at Farm and Tractor Supply.
pmac, Get your hands on a piece of 5xxx or 6061 series aluminum for your cathode. Itwill last a long long time even if you don't remove it after every run. My cathodes made from 1/16" 6061 is well over a year old and it's been in the tank almostthe complete time. LAter, Tim |

You can use aluminum Mig welding wire as well, it comes in spools like steel welding wire, probably a little more than $30 for spool. best part, it's about
.040" and all aluminum. Have a good one! Ben |
