sswee's 60-gal tank questions?

Hi,

I guess this is more directed toward sswee, than as a general post. I originally did my 20 gal setup like yours and then I saw your 60 gal setup. I was wondering where you purchased your filters plumbed into your system as well as the hose fitting to PVC pipe.

The reason for my inquiry is because my chiller started leaking this weekend and since my system was basically all PVC pipe, I know have a large quantity of electrolyte strewn upon my garage floor . I'm hoping with a setup like yours, I can avoid such a catastrophy in the future.

May I ask what type of chiller you bought? Im in the market for one in the future, and if one has the possibility of leaking, im not going to want it

I purchased the CL-650. I'm replacing it with the CL-280. I'm not sure why it's leaking, once I get it taken apart, I can let you know. It was in service for over a year and I used it quite a bit so I'm not really detered from buying another one of the same brand.

Do you have the brand name?

Gray plastic barbed fittings from Home Depot. Most the white ones are made of nylon.
The filters you speak of are not filters but PVC unions for splitting the lines and removing the chiller or pump for maintenance.
