Ok so I think I contaminated one of my die tanks. I did some parts with a lot of bolt holes and now my color comes out kinda funny looking. If I didn’t clean the parts good enuff and transferred some of the ano bath over, how would I go about disposing of that tank? I don’t know if the blue itself is hazardous but with some of the ano tank transferred over would it be even thought it’s diluted so much? Or am I just having another type of problem. Any help would be grateful? Here is a pic for reference...
Thanks, Cyberave68 P.S. sorryabout the large pic i cant seem to resize it...

That looks like water spots on the surface prior to anodizing. I'd make another test run before scraping the tank.
As far as desposal, you can pour it down the toilet no problem. Even if you have acid drag-over, liquid drain cleaners are now going to sulfuric acid instead of sodium hydroxide. I guess the acid does not affect the sanitary system.

Thanks for the input guy's. My ano tank is still good, I just think my blue dye tank is bad. I wasnt sure what to do with it if it is. I will try again to be sure but, its also not the first bad part i have gotton from that tank.
Thanks again, Cyberave68 |
