Default I got SCREWED!!!!!

OH YEAH! Titanium baby!!!

These thing are great, coupled with ti wire, the two make a great workholder.

AND... they're cheap! To the door (includes shipping) we are talking less than $1.50/ea...

AND they never have to be stripped!!!!! (time = $$)

My q's are:

Does anyone use these or similar screws and how do they work for you?

Has anyone had any problems with these?

Will titanium dissolve in the Caswell Stripper? (my wires seem fine)

What are some ideas (other than a racks) to connect parts that you can't screw wire to?
(gun barrels, solid blocks, or say you WANT the screw hole ano'd)

( I have read about some of you using ti c-clams w/ a tooth to "bite" into the metal)

Titanium is pretty much virtually unstoppable when it comes to chemicals, industrial metal processers use titanium for everything. As long as they are commercially pure you are fine, if they are an alloy mixed with aluminum and vandillium (however its spelled), they will slowly be dissolved away

A racks?

c-clams?? i meant c-clamps

wtf? It was 5:30PM- I wanted to go home. (So... what does proofread mean?)

Anyways...

Thanx destroyer for the info. I appreciate it.

Here is an example of why I want holes ano'd. Notice the spot that didn't ano where the wire made contact and of course the threading was not ano'd cuz of the screw- but it was on the other hole (not in this pic) and it looks like poop. FYI, with this part I am just gonna tap a 10-32 hole on top to attach the wire, it will be hidden when assembled. AAAANNY other suggestions are welcomed.

PS.. Can someone maybe PM me instructions on inserting an image (not an attachment) from my local computer (not http://). I see others have pictures right in their posts (no need to click on them), are they uploaded or are they hosted?

Thanx.

You can make inside or outside clamps from the 1/8in Ti, and fasten them to cross pieces like shown below. I have 1/16in Ti that I use for smaller stuff like eye covers.
To insert an image, use an image host like Photobucket (it's free), and upload your pics to thier server. They have a link that you just copy and paste to your post.

Just bent them by hand with a pair of piers. I made a bunch the same, so I measured and marked them with a felt marker, and made bends on the mark.
I probably have about 25 each of 1/8in ones in various sizes, and 20 1/16in ones bent in two sizes.

Thanks! Yes, the cathode is lead.
Working on my new tank now... it's about double in size.

Ha, yeah... good story about that;
Bought one of those cheap plastic welders from Harbor Frieght, and a full sheat of 1/4in HDPE.
Got it home and cut all the pieces and started welding. It was slow going, but seamed to work OK.
Set the tank up on saw horses and filled it with water.... DAMN, leaks!
Fixed leaks, and re-tested... more leaks.
Chased leaks around for many evenings, then gave up.
After searching on-line for pre-made tanks, I came accross a guy that welds plastic, and he's fairly local to me.
I re-cut all my pieces, and had him weld them up. It cost me $200 just for the welding, but I ended up with a tank exactly the dimensions I wanted for ~$300 total. It's 48in x 18in x 16in. I'll use three seperate PS's for multiple alloys/runs.
Sorry for getting off topic.
