Default A new question, on a new twist!

Hello everyone,
I've been doing anodizing for a while now, with help from this forum. I have come across a customer that wants "teflon impregnated anodizing", has anyone heard of/ done any of this type of anodizing?
This was a new one on me, all help greatly appreciated, thanks,

Canute

I'm not familiar with it. Did he say what the parts are being used for that he would want something like that?

Hey sswee, no he did not tell the applacation, I would assume some type of low friction use. I don't know of any other reason to use it, I have looked around on line, but not a lot of info. there either. Well thanks anyway, will keep looking.

A quick search of teflon reveals that:
You have to be a licenced installer to apply actual DuPont Teflon.
There are other non-stick products available in liquid form that may work.
I haven't seen or heard of any anodize/non-stick coatings, BUT;
I know that many times in aerospace, aluminum is anodized as part of a corrosion resistant coatings system... it gives the aluminum "tooth" for the coatings to stick to, and seems that maybe a non-stick coating applied directly to un-sealed raw ano might work.
