Default Problem with dyes @ masking

    Hi Guys....

Very nice forum....read lots if info here
A lil' piece of .... drives me mad

I have a big problem with a SP ION paintball-gun. I stripped off the old coating (powder), polished it......anodizing..... dyeing the whole part black etc. WITHOUT sealing
After that I dried the stuff, to put on some decals (team-logo with masking-film 3M)
Next step: Diluted sulfuric acid (about 10%) washes the non-masked areas perfectly clean....nice.....after demasking and again drying the logo looks perfect....
Now the actual problem. I want to dye the rest of the gun in gold, but the gold dye "washes" out some of the black dye of the logo. No Prob so far.....but the black **** soils the gold dye.....so the part comes out with "patina"..........
Does anybody know, what's the fault?

    Thanx & Greets from Germany
    Alex

I'm not completely understanding the question. but are you taking the mask off then dying the whole peice gold? If so leave the mask on, gold the rest of the peice then seal for 5, take mask off, seal rest of way. Kinda strange the gold dye is pushing out the black dye. RINSE RINSE RINSE, by far one of the most important and overlooked stages.
