The Caswell Manual says 2-3 minutes per .0001 depth of anodize, on the kits/aluminum.htm page it says 7 minutes per .0001 depth. Which is correct?
Also, the manual states that for hardcoat you use 4/2 mix of distilled water and battery acid, and dye anodize, is a 2/2 mix. Is this correct, or is it backwards? I believe it was at the American Anodize Assoc. that i read that it was the opposite? One last question. Can tri-sodium-phosphate (TSP) be used as a cleaner, or as a mild etchant? |
