I had a local sign company cut me some vinyl logos for masking parts, but every time I try to stick the vinyl to the part after dying it, the backing leaves a residue on the part. This residue keeps the underlying dye from bleaching out, which leaves a large area of the wrong color around the logo.
Any advice on how to keep this from happening? Thanks

You should try the clear backing...it's less sticky...
additionally rub over the backings glued side to minimize the stickiness....after that it could be "hard" work to get the vinyl off the silicone-paper.....but who cares, if it works That works perfectly for me....but I'm doing single-pieces, mostly.... Last edited by LOON; 08-11-2007 at 06:25 AM. |
