your sandwich?
Im not an expert on this, but from what i understand the two factors you need to considder ate temperature and ph. if your sandwich is basic, and to a greater degree at high temperatures, it will absorb aluminum and may pose a minor long term health risk. the only sandwich ingredients i can find with ph>7 are eggs, shrimp, and cheese, but only camemburt (yes, there are cheese ph charts). Egg salad sandwiches are usually cold, as are those containing shrimp- and cheese is usually not on the outside of a sandwich, so dont worry about it. unless you eat allot of hot egg sandwiches and the egg ozzes out and then you lick that back off of the foil or you have hot pastrami with camemburt on the outside ten times a day i think you will be ok. if you really want to stop the aluminum from your foil from getting on things maybe you can anodize it. maybe you will get rich off of non contaminating anodized foil for hot camemburt, but i doubt it.
