Thread: Looking for a bright green dye

  1. #1

Default Looking for a bright green dye

I'm trying to find a bright green dye similar to the color Apple used on the last generation of Ipod Shuffles (see below)
I've looked at the Caswell dye chart and I don't see anything that would come remotely close to this green. Anyone have an idea of where to get a flourescent green dye?

Lay a very light basecoat of YELLOW or FLOURESCENT YELLOW, then overlay GREEN AEN.

I ano to .5 - .75 mils, about 10 sec in FLOUR. YELLOW, then about 45 sec in GREEN AEN = my lime green

I've also wondered about a bright/lime green myself.

EDIT - nevermind... when I saw "10 sec in FLOUR. YELLOW" I though yellow was the beginning of the next sentence and you were telling me to go dip my parts in baking flour. Glad I got that figured out now
