the wire is .03" wide

Thats tiny. 1/8", which is what I use, would be .125.

Have you used this for anodizng and how did you rack parts with it?

Not sure on which grade is no good for anodizing. But I got some 5/32" rod a few months ago and it will not let the volts go about about 5-6. Not sure what the problem was but it took us a bit to narrow down the problem to it as we had a full load racked with 3 different size ti rods.

A CP grade is good....But the diameter is too small for anything.
