I think my local NAPA told me about $12 for 5gal battery acid.
"Caustic Soda - 25kg Carboy 25% Liquid - $34.30 " I don't know what your getting there. Caustic Soda I beleave is LYE or Sodium Hydroxide. If this is what you need, I paid $6 for 1b of dry crystals as Drain Opener 100% Lye in a nice safe plastic bottle. I get it at a small hardware store in the plumbing/sink section. You would have to figure out which costs least for you.
