Default anodizing pipe

has anyone tried anodizing pipe..as in 1.25" schedule 40 6061T6?
I want to try it for longer sections, like 8ft any advice? (no color)

I never have, but somewhere (on this forum I'm sure) I read about someone who used a piece of PVC pipe capped on one end and stood up and filled with electrolyte as a tank for doing long tubing or pipe in. One or more cathodes were suspended down the length of the PVC "tank".

Try a search and you'll probably find it.
