1. For those who have used hot glue (for a splash effect), how do you remove it?
A buddy came over last weekend and ano'd a gun for his son. Well, I ano'd it, he dyed, glued, bleached, etc to make a splash effect then sealed.
I thought the hot glue would just peel off, but it stuck like heck. I wound up just heating it up in the sealer, the wiping the "melted" glue away over and over until most of it was gone. I then had to remove residue with Goof Off.
I tried lacquer thinner and nothing. All in all the glue made a freakin mess. His son did all of the hot glueing, so he is proud of the gun he participted in anodizing. Here's a pic:
2. Finally got around to doing some parts in "Fast blue". I loved the color pre-seal (lighter blue) , but post-seal it turned a turquoise color.
Is this normal for "fast blue"?
