we started anodizing and found that our kool seal changed color to black. we rinsed very well but as soon has you put the part in the kool seal you could see some color bleed off. we also realized later that the temp of the black was not high enough . this has been changed. will the kool seal still be ok?

thanks for your help SS
what kind of sealer do you use? this seal here is pretty black. we just started anodizing so this might explain the pore size. we re-set up our studio so its more efficient. hopefully we will get some where with it. thanks once again tre |

I use the regular nickel acetate sealer from Caswell or just boiling RO water depending on what the part is for. To get a smaller pore size you need to drop the tank temp and/or up the CD. Increased agitation also helps to decrease the thermal pocket or envelope around the part and decreases dissolution.
